Royal Government Of Koroth
The royal government of Koroth is a system of royal shires often renamed into duchies and kingdoms of their own. This feudal setting has two parts: the royal house and the king's court.

The King's Court
The widely konwn King's Court is an aristocracy made of 31 full members and 1 non-voting counselor to the king. However, in actuality it is made of more than 100 noble representatives who enjoy various amounts of power or prestige based on their political view and actions within the kingdom.

Dailly decisions are said to be made by the crown alone, however, the King's Court is involved in even the most mundane of discussions, ovten brokering resolutions and laws without involvement of the sovereign himself. In dire times when heated political issues arise, the specific 29 members express views or vote by the proxy of their representative(s). Thus on paper this system appears consolidated and clear but in practice, representatives, advocates, and bourgeois often wield considerable muddled power, accounting for much intrigue and espionage within the realm.

The King's Court is made of:

King Caeleth Teborex of Koroth
He was raised the eldest son of a Balgarion senator. Childhood studies of history, linguistics, politics, weaponry and war were taught to himi by the renown scholar and high Patriarch of Baluh, the irascible, Epidemus Rae.

By the age of 19, General Teborex had led two armies into war victoriously. At age 23 he unlocked the first ancient key of Balgarion, extracting all five by age 26. He wed two wives in his homeland, both dying in childbirth. He traveled the Streamedius by warship for the next ten years and rumors say during that time he kept several secret families.

He served 3 years as Balgarion's Fourth Sea Commander until the day his father was assassinated in office and the government fell to a theocracy that still rules the mighty empire. Exiled under penalty of death, Caeleth liquidated his estates and led a far oceanic voyage to the continent of Aerinnan. Along with several hundred men, their expedition marched inland to find the "farthest defendable line" of protection some five-hundred miles east of the Mare Morilicum.
For the next seven years he lay the foundation of fortresses that line the Eastwatch of teh Kingdom now known as Koroth. Wresting power from settlements, he defended the realm with his Balgarion-trained army, enlisting countless others as the people saw law and protection arrive in the land. Still, vast pockets of wild lands lay inhabited by beasts, but Caeleth's dwarven lords watch, contain and report from these larger areas.

The establishment of roadways to Castle Oldstaff, home of the royal family, and the politically rewarding feudal system provides Korothians with admiration for their king, and the king's ability to leverage a tax/tithe system that places the Kingdom of Koroth on its way to strength and prosperity. The sixty-one year old King is seldom seen, in this diverse land of beasts, humanoids and adventure.
